Get Slack Notifications for Every Form Submission
If your team lives in Slack, checking a dashboard for new form submissions is friction you don't need. With Formboost's Slack integration, every submission posts a message to your chosen channel automatically — your team sees it as soon as it arrives.

The message includes all submitted fields and a direct link to the submission in your Formboost dashboard.
Setup (5 minutes)
Step 1: Create a Slack Incoming Webhook
- Go to slack.com/apps
- Search for Incoming WebHooks and click Add to Slack
- Choose the channel where form notifications should appear
- Click Add Incoming WebHooks Integration
- Optionally set a custom bot name (e.g., "Formboost") and icon
- Copy the Webhook URL — it starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/
Step 2: Connect It in Formboost
- Log in to dashboard.formboost.app
- Open the form you want to connect
- Click the Integrations tab
- Paste your webhook URL into the Slack field
- Click Save
Step 3: Test It
Click Send Test in the Integrations tab. A test message should appear in your Slack channel within a few seconds.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |

| No message received | Double-check the webhook URL — it must start with https://hooks.slack.com/ |
| Message in wrong channel | Channel is set at webhook creation time — create a new webhook for the correct channel |
| App removed from Slack | Reinstall Incoming WebHooks and generate a new URL |
| Slack free plan delays | High-volume forms may see slight rate-limit delays on Slack free plans |
Multiple Channels
To notify multiple Slack channels from one form, create a separate Slack Incoming Webhook for each channel. Each webhook goes to a different channel. Formboost supports one Slack webhook per form — for multiple destinations, use the HTTP Webhook integration to fan out to multiple services.
Combining with Other Notifications
Slack notifications complement email notifications — they're not a replacement. Email gives you a searchable record; Slack gives your team real-time awareness. Use both.
You can also combine Slack with:
- Discord — for communities or dev teams on Discord
- Telegram — for personal or small-team notifications on mobile
- HTTP Webhook — to trigger CRM updates or other workflows simultaneously
